Archbishop Buti Tlhagale’s  dream of building a Marian Shrine started in Brazil at World Youth Day 2013 Rio de Janeiro. This dream thus came from an encounter with millions of young people on pilgrimage to The Basilica of the National Shrine of Our Lady Aparecida in Aparecida, Brazil, a vision growing closer to becoming a reality!

The youth of the Archdiocese of Johannesburg have received the exciting task of raising R500 000 towards the Marian Shrine project! Hundreds of our young people are already selling raffle tickets to reach our goal. We have 50 000 tickets to sell at only R10 each and great prizes to be won! Is your parish on board yet? Join us as we make our mark on this momentous event in the history of the Archdiocese of Johannesburg.
